Naked woman suffers mental health crisis inside Ithaca church

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Authorities in Ithaca are letting out a sigh of relief.

Police responded to the Immaculate Conception Church shortly after 8:30 AM today for a mental health crisis. They say a naked woman was taken into custody after she reportedly pointed a gun at church staff.

The building was evacuated and the weapon was determined to be a BB gun. No charges are currently pending.
