Man arrested for alleged stolen property in Cortland County

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — Authorities in Cortland County have charged a man with several crimes.

The County Sheriff’s Office arrested 37-year-old Jason Gassner on Friday.

Authorities say Gassner was part of three separate investigations involving stolen property. The most recent allegedly happened in April. Officers say Gassner was in possession of stolen stereo equipment.

He’s also accused of using a stolen credit card at multiple Cortlandville companies in October of 2020.

Gassner is charged with three counts of fourth degree criminal possession of stolen property. Those are felony charges.
