ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — Police in Ithaca are currently investigating an early morning burglary at a home on Williams Street.

Officers were called to the scene around 4:40 Wednesday morning, but the suspect had already left.

Police describe the suspect as a heavy set Black female, about five-foot-eight, who was wearing a white crop top, grey sweatpants with a Cornell logo on the thigh, a red scarf around her hair, and a black face mask.

People living in the home reportedly confronted the suspect before police arrived, but it has not been released in which direction she left.
