IPD investigating single shot fired on S. Plain Street

ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) — A report of a shot fired Friday night in Ithaca is currently under investigation.

According to IPD, a Black male fired a single gunshot from a handgun into the air shortly before 6:30 Friday evening in the 200 block of South Plain Street. No one was injured and there were no reports or property damage. Officers collected evidence that’s consistent with a round being fired.
