ITHACA, N.Y. (WHCU) – The winner of the Tompkins County ‘I Voted’ sticker contest has been announced.

A recent grad of Ithaca’s New Roots Charter School Dakota Tseng was the top vote-getter out of 8 finalists. The Board of Elections says Tseng received more than 2100 votes from the public.

“Kudos to Dakota and all of the young people who submitted designs,” said Republic Elections Commissioner, Alana Congdon. “They were fantastic and great expressions of our local artistic talent. We had excellent turnout for this election, I wish we could say that about all elections. I hope that having a new and exciting sticker available only to voters in Tompkins County will encourage more people to show up to the polls this November.”

Tseng’s design will be printed on 30,000 stickers in time for the general election on November 7, 2023.
