AUBURN, N.Y. (WHCU) — A longtime legislator in Cayuga County has died. 

Gary Finch represented the city of Auburn 10 times in the New York State Assembly before his retirement in 2020. Finch, who was 79 years old, is being remembered by Minority Leader Will Barclay as a “true gentleman and dear friend.”

Finch was also the former owner of the Brew Funeral Home on South Street in Auburn. He passed away Friday.
