Dryden Fiber meets opposition from town supervisor candidate

DRYDEN, N.Y. (WHCU) — A candidate for Dryden town supervisor says he’s opposed to Dryden Fiber, the town’s broadband internet initiative.

Tom Corey tells WHCU it would put the town in competition with companies.

Corey, a Republican, adds the town should not be competing with local businesses.

Dryden Town Supervisor Jason Leifer told us recently Dryden Fiber would put the town on equal ground with other internet providers.
