CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Cortland man is facing multiple felonies.

Officers from the City of Cortland Police Department arrested 35-year-old Larry Payne on Saturday, September 30, after a burglary investigation on Lincoln Avenue. Payne is accused of entering an unlocked apartment and stealing several items. A description from the victim and video evidence led authorities to believe Payne was a suspect. Police located Payne on Port Watson Street and he was allegedly found with the missing property.

Payne is charged with burglary, criminal possession of stolen property, and grand larceny. Payne will appear in Cortland City Court Court on Wednesday.
