Cortland looking at new ideas for old school

CORTLAND, N.Y. (WHCU) — Cortland leaders are trying to find new life for an old school building. 

The Parker Elementary School on Madison Street closed a few years ago. Mayor Scott Steve tells us about some new options. 

Ithaca Neighborhood Housing Services submitted a proposal to transform the building into housing, but the mayor tells us the city is moving in a different direction. Meanwhile, the city faces a time crunch to make a decision.

The Parker Elementary School closed in 2019.
