SCOTT, N.Y. (WHCU) – A Cortland County man awaits his day in court.

Cortland County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a residence on Sunnyside Drive in the Town of Scott on Friday for a report of a domestic dispute. 63-year-old William Brown is accused of choking and injuring a victim during a physical altercation. Brown is charged with felony strangulation and misdemeanor assault. He’s being held in Cortland County Jail with no bail.

Brown is set to appear before a judge in Scott Town Court tomorrow at 5:00 p.m.
