NewsTalk WHCU presents the 1979 nuclear disaster thriller The China Syndrome on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 2 PM as part of the Legends and Legacies Film Series.

This critically acclaimed film stars Jane Fonda, Jack Lemmon and Michael Dougles and tells the story of a reporter and her cameraman discovering safety cover-ups at a nuclear power plant. The film was released in theaters 12 days before the Three Mile Island nuclear accident.

Prior to the showing of The China Syndrome Brett Bossard of Cinemapolis will give a presentation about the movie.
