Pure Oldies Sock Hop Sweepstakes! Rules


Starting Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 5AM WNYY and WFIZ-HD2 will be starting the “Sock Hop Sweepstakes”. This enter to win online sweepstakes will be held on WNYY and WFIZ-HD2. Listeners can enter at www.pureoldies941.com or www.rewind1077.com and can enter once per day until the close of the contest on Friday, February 21, 2020 at 9:00 AM.

Listeners can visit either www.pureoldies941.com or www.rewind1077.com and follow the onscreen prompts on the contest page to enter.

Prize will be awarded Friday, February 21, 2020. Our two randomly selected winners will be notified via phone.

Our two winner(s) will each receive a pair of tickets with an approximate retail value of $30.00 ($15.00 Per Ticket) for the Sock Hop event at The Hangar Theatre in Ithaca on March 14th starting at 6PM.

Two entrants will be chosen at random to win a pair of tickets each on Friday, February 21, 2020 after the close of the contest at 9 AM.

Must be 18+ to enter. One entry per day per person. Submitting more than one entry per person per day will invalidate all entries by that contestant. Any entry submitted on behalf of another individual or using another person’s email address or name will be disqualified and ineligible to claim any prize. Any attempt by any participant to obtain more than the stated number of entries allowed by using same, multiple/different email addresses, identities, or any other methods void that participants entries and that participant may be disqualified. In the event of a dispute as to any on-line registration, the authorized account holder of the email address sued to register will be deemed to be the registrant and he/she must be eligible according to these official rules. No mechanically reproduced or automated entries permitted. Use of any automated system to participate is prohibited and will result in disqualification and all such entries will be deemed void.

WNYY/WFIZ-HD2 contests are open to all eligible New York State and Pennsylvania State residents 18 or older have not won anything on WNYY/WFIZ-HD2 in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of WNYY/WFIZ-HD2, Cayuga Radio Group, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WNYY/WFIZ-HD2 main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.

No purchase necessary. Prize is not redeemable or transferable for cash. WNYY/WFIZ-HD2 sole responsibility will be to award the prize. WNYY/WFIZ-HD2 shall have no further responsibility if the prize winner for any reason cannot or decides not to use any of the prize. Winner responsible for all applicable federal and state taxes. Fees and incidentals are not included with the prize and are the sole responsibility of the winner.

This contest is being run concurrently and simultaneously in Ithaca New York between radio stations associated with the Cayuga Radio Group and listeners of said stations will be competing against each other for the same prize. These rules supersede the rules found on the Aptivada platform.
