AMBER Alert issued for two children taken in Ithaca


Tompkins County Sheriff’s Department officials say an Amber Alert has been issued for a 2-year-old and a 4-year-old child they say were taken Tuesday in Ithaca.
Investigators say Violet Thorne was abducted near Heron Drive in Ithaca around 4 p.m. Tuesday.  The child is described as having short, blonde hair and blue eyes. She’s approximately 3-feet tall and weighs about 30 pounds.
Sheriff’s officials also say 4-year-old Brian Thorne was taken. He’s described as having short, blonde hair and blue eyes. He’s approximately 3 feet 6 inches tall and weighs about 40 pounds.
The suspect, according to the Amber Alert, is 38-year-old Leonard Thorne. They say he’s about 5’9″, 165 lbs., and has blonde hair and blue eyes.

The SUSPECT, Leonard Thorne is a White male, approximately 38 years old with blonde hair and blue eyes. He is approximately 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs about 165 pounds.
